Here's the story behind the Bogey Bag product:

It was a hot Saturday on the golf course. I had the large pocket of my golf bag packed with a plastic bag that was full of beer and ice. (This particular course didn't like people drinking a beer or two anywhere other than the clubhouse. Unfortunately that wasn't doing us much good as we waited for twenty minutes on the second tee while the group in front of us rumaged through the woods for their golf balls). Other than the frustratingly slow pace of play everything was going fine. Then the bag sprung a leak and the handles of all my clubs got soaked. By the time we were on the back nine my round was in deep trouble (normally its not that good anyway, but this was REALLY bad). Not only was it tough just to keep the clubs from flying out of my hands, but even worse all the ice in the plastic bag had melted and the beers were starting to get warm!

This just would not do: there had to be a better way.

I decided to spend some time looking for a cooler that I could use to replace the plastic bag trick. I figured a decent cooler and some kind of ice packs would solve my problems (I knew it wouldn't fix my golf game, but it might just keep my beers cold and my clubs dry). However after weeks of searching in stores, online and everywhere else I couldn't find a thing.

So I made one. It worked pretty well, and soon all my golf buddies wanted one too. I made more. More people wanted them. I designed templates, fixtures, researched materials and started to produce a very professional product. Then I found a company that made Ice-Paks and got some in a size that was perfect for the coolers. I named the product "Bogey Bags", found a place that could take over the manufacturing and here I am selling them on the internet.

If I'm lucky maybe a large retail chain will pick up the product at some point and I'll make a few bucks. That'd be nice. More importantly though, I'm pretty sure there are other golfers out there experiencing the same warm-beer/wet-club syndrome I had, so I want to offer you a solution.

Bogey Bags: that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
